Volunteer in Taiwan - Sunrise Ocean Village (旭海小學堂)

Sunrise Ocean Village (旭海村) is deep in the mountains of Pingtung and heralds the high-altitude ancient hiking path (阿塱壹古道). It's one of the hottest hiking spots in Taiwan.

Description

The volunteer position is offered by a self-funded orphanage in the Sunrise Ocean Village. There are nearly 20 kids. The founder, 芳姐, sold 2 houses in the town to build up this orphanage for the underprivileged kids. To support this little paradise, she runs a small café in the village.

Help

The main task is to accompany those kids and the elder villagers. Simply playing with the kids or talking to the villagers would be a great help. Other jobs will be like cleaning the house and helping the café when the kids are off to the school.
